Page Maps 2 sketch contest

This one is for a drawing of the Page Maps 2 sketch idea book. I love the first book.

The paper used is from Cosmo Cricket Them Bones line. Don't know the source of the cloth Happy Halloween tag. The vampire and the spooky tree (which is really not faded out like the photo shows) are cut from Cricut cartridge Happy Haunting. The little white tag is from Making Memories and the bat by it is from K&Company.

Sketch is from http://creativescrappers.blogspot.com/. While I didn't have ay 12" wide format pictures, I did have a 5x7 that I wanted to get scrapped. So I adapted. Paper is the old Basic Grey Color Me Silly line. I have a full sheet of blue and a couple scraps left. Almost gone. Whew. Scroll Rub-ons are 7Gypsies and small Rub-on letters in the title are from Autumn Leaves. Large black title letters are Pressed Petals Chip Chatter. They are distressable and are supposed to be self adhesive. But they are too old and the adhesive is only a little yellow color rather than a sticky practicality... lol.

Torn spiral edged journaling page peeking from the top left corner is from Making Memories. This adorable Christmas tree is great, but I have no clue where it came from. It was just laying in my Christmas stash.

The little green guy is from Cricut's Mini Monsters cartridge. The background green paper and the stars paper are actually one sheet that I cut the middle from, distressed the edges and adhered them to a freebie white page protector insert that I save for just these needs. Saved from cutting into a second paper.

Embroidery floss from Hobby Lobby. Title cut using Cricut cartridges Printing Press and Plantin Schoolbook and pumpkin leaves cut using Freshly Picked cartridge.

While I have no interest in being on a design team, I do like using the sketch for personal scrapbooking... lol. Cardstock is Bazzill. PP is Scenic Route North Shore Line and Basic Grey Ledger Paper. Swirls are Prima Bling that I cut into three pieces. Rub-on photo corner is Junkitz. Pen used for journaling was a Zig writer. Title made with Cricut Cuttin' Up cartridge. Okay. So this layout started out with this sketch. You just can't tell that when you compare the sketch with the end result layout. Yikes. I started with a 5x7 picture on top but realized that one of the faces on one of the kids was going to psychologically damage me if I had to look at that picture forever more. So I had to start cropping the picture and soon it was just too small to use as a big picture and I had already cut up any other pictures that I could have used. So I added another row of little pictures and made the top half into a top eighth.... lol. Then I wrote the title with stickles, but hated it so ended up putting paper over it and calling it a day... or a layout.

And sometimes we absolutely LOVE how a layout turns out. This one is one that I LOVE. Love the bright and fun colors and the flowers and the banner. What a rare thing, right?
